July 19 at noon - CHA Hogs for Dogs Poker Run starting at CHA animal shelter (3765 Corporate Dr / Columbus 43231).  Registration begins at noon, last bike out at 1 pm, last bike in at 5 pm.  Grand Prize: 50/50 split.  Motorcycle ride covering about 75 miles with 5 stops.  $20 or $10/passenger.  See www.chaanimalshelter.org for info.

**July 27 from noon - 8 pm - Motorcyle show/event at Big Walnut Dog Park.  **NOTE  - access to the parking areas will be blocked during this event.  Feel free to park at Walnut Ridge High School.  Police will be present to facilitate crossing the street. **

August 8  from 1-3 pm - Franklin Co Rabies Immunizations at Pleasant Twp Fire Dept (5373 Norton Rd, Grove City, 43123).  Cost is $6 per vaccination -CASH ONLY.  All dogs, cats, and ferrets must be on leash or in an animal carrier.  Animals between 3 mos and 1 yr of age will receive a 1 year rabies vaccination.  Animals over 1 year old with proof of current rabies vaccinations will receive a 3 year vaccination.  Please bring current rabies certificates and rabies tags with you to the clinic.  For further info contact Columbus Public Health (614) 645-6134 or Franklin County Board of Health (614) 462-3160. 

August 23 -  CHA Animal Shelter's 18th Annual Dog Jog & Health Fair-5K Run & 1 Mile Walk at Nationwide Arena. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Race begins at 9:30 a.m. Registration fee: $25-Benefits CHA animals! Dogs welcome! There will be awards for top race finishers & top fundraisers.
